Martin Garrix and Matisse & Sadko truly deserve to form an official trio at this point. It’s only been four months since the respective STMPD RCRDS and Monomark Music founders tapped in who else but John Martin for their progressive house treasure and one of our top tracks of 2021 in “Won’t Let You Go,” and they’re already back together to run up their collaborative tallyâÂÂexcluding any co-productionsâÂÂto a grand total of eight times since “Dragon.” And “Good Morning” was the very first sliver of music that Garrix used to soundtrack his maiden tour stop of 2022 at Lollapalooza’s Chile editionâÂÂand also served as the grand opening to his Bayfront Park reunion at the end of MarchâÂÂnow being converted into the fifth extension of Sentio, whichâÂÂif you’ve somehow been living under a rock the past 10 daysâÂÂis his debut album that’s set to be fully completed on April 29.
Everything about “Good Morning” reaffirms yet again that Garrix and Matisse & Sadko’s synergy is as cohesive as it’s ever been, starting with its incredibly apt title considering it’s been the figurative alarm clock to the former’s sets. And not only is the track name a refreshing change of pace, the style is as well, with the trio building off what they did through their “Mistaken” club mix, angling away from traditional progressive houseâÂÂwith a lead that’s still rigged with a progressive heartâÂÂfor a gritty, explosive house gem that further evolves Garrix and Matisse & Sadko’s collective timeline that they’ve grown throughout the previous seven years.
With “Starlight“âÂÂalongside DubVision and Shaun FarrugiaâÂÂalready locked in to join âÂÂFollow,â âÂÂLimitless,â âÂÂReboot,” “Quantum,” and “Good Morning” on the Sentio tracklist on April 15, Garrix still has six Ultra IDs left to choose from for his remaining release spotsâÂÂunless more than one arrives on April 29âÂÂincluding theàJulian Jordan ID, theàDutch Waters IDàwith DubVision, âÂÂFind Youâ withàJustin MyloàandàDewain Whitmore, theàDallasK ID, theàBlinders ID, and GarrixâÂÂsàconfirmed Ultra finale alongside Shaun Farrugia.
